Tissue Tape!
Tim Holtz: A Compendium of Curiosities, Vol. 2
Sponsored by Simon Says Stamp
Making snow is easy! Just put down a thick layer of Studio white gesso, let it dry, then
cover it with a mix of Snow Cap paint and Picket Fence Distress Stickles.
Happy, magical Friday, blog friends, and welcome to challenge #33 from Tim Holtz's fantabulous "A Compendium of Curiosities, Vol. 2!" I'm posting early this week, as my sweet mom is in town visiting and we've got a jam-packed three-day weekend coming up!
Challenge 33 is all about Tim's cool Tissue Tape, which has become a craft room staple for so many of us. It's versatile, fun, and comes in all kinds of great designs. Tim shows several ways to use it in the CC2, and you're welcome to incorporate any of those techniques-- or one of your own!-- in your entry for this challenge!
I especially enjoyed this week's project, because I got to try something I've been thinking about for a while-- turning Tim's adorable Sizzix Halloween Shadows Trick-or-Treaters die into little carolers. That's one of the best things about his designs-- you can always find a fun new way to use them! Cutting the shape out of white cardstock, trimming off the jack o'lantern and other Halloween-y elements, and coloring it with Distress Markers allowed me to transition these tiny revelers over to the winter holidays.
